Almost impossible to know the impact. They are deliberately hiding it. They don't say it out loud to anyone but the person impacted, not even to their boss.

@OP Manny people are just not repotting on this site. Some don’t even know it exists.
Plus, being laid off can be traumatizing for some. It takes time for Reality to sink in.
There is the emotional and psychological impact and different people have different reactions.
What happens happens. Folks will need to move on.
