axed back in May (OCI). I am still struggling finding a job. Landed two interviews but it did not pan out. Still have hope. Have a Q for folks that were let go - when were you laid off how long did the search take, and was your new compensation lower, similar, or higher?

Look for government jobs. The pay is so high with BIG FAT PENSIONS. Don't miss out! The work should be easy when compared to O and MANGO ;0);0);0);0);0)

@cc DBAs aren't paid that much in today's market. You are one of the few cases were Oracle was over paying. If you get an offer for $110 take it. You can always keep looking but will have an income.
I lost my job as Oracle DBA 1 year back and at that time the compensations is 170k, but now I am getting offers only for 110k. Not sure if this is only for DBA roles, or every ware its like that. still didn't get any concrete offer to join though.
