Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Stock price at 46.26 now

Down roughly 2%, after first breaking the prior 52 week low at $47.01. Friday's close was $47.19.

Notable because the broader market is moving the opposite direction today. The Nasdaq was up about 1.5%, helped by falling oil prices and Treasury yields. So Fiserv's weakness continues to be company specific/relative underperformance rather than simply the market dragging it lower.

@dy I've been at the company 7 years. I am grateful for the team that I am with. We were insulated from layoffs until Takis took over.

I'm irritated how much collateral damage is being done to us employees who are being laid off. There's no empathy whatsoever. It's a knee je-k reaction to stock price and Jana Partners.

It's leaving a bad vibe among the employees who were not affected. The trust is broken with this leadership. Even our own immediate supervisors are kissing a-s because after we're gone, they're next and they know it.

@c2 No Sir. I am not a racist. I share the demographics with Indians. I appreciate your stance. That's the greatness. I am very sorry for my inappropriate language.

I was dismissed after 25 years at Fiserv, it happens for a business reason, I don't have any Fiserv stock that I bought at high price.

Yet I don't want to see Fiserv going through the bankruptcy route, I am an old dog that never bites the hand ( Fiserv ) that fed me for decades.

@av you're mad that you're vested in stock you paid too much for and lost your a-s on.

And, no I'm not Indian, you racist pr--k.

Trust when I say that Q3 numbers are going to be awful when they come out next month. Enjoy your holiday layoffs.

The market is losing patience for real signs that this puppy can be turned around that’s why the price keeps falling.

Management need to start making moves instead of endlessly talking about what the issues are. Endless RIFs and changes at the top aren’t going to cut it.

Analysts and investors want action not words

I hope it keeps falling. That will make it a much better value to buy it later.

Sold my stock 2 years ago. Already got my 90 day notice. I hope this place goes under but it won't.

It'll get acquired.

It is about time for Fiserv, a pathetic company constituted by incompetent employees like us, to go belly up. When it goes bankrupt, all of us can be laid off during the restructuring.
