Quite a few tech departments had already been cut quite a bit. 25% of FTEs just last March for entire units. I know of teams with a 1:10 FTE Contractor ratios, but there have been not one contractor cut in 3 years. More cuts next week would leave important functions out there with nobody that understands them. But hey, the previous cuts also seemed random, so who knows,
Disney could probably layoff half the company and not lose a beat. Lots of DEI and blue hair karens that do nothing but politic all day.
