smaller teams should be absorbed by larger teams. Remove layers of management, why do some organizations need 3 associate directors, 1 director and 1 senior director. A whole team of project managers who don't know how to use smart sheets and report metrics via a stock powerpoint slide. Vendor-led projects which end up with no end date. Technology platforms with very thin problem statements or due to some personal back-channel relationship. Issue trackers in google sheets not a formalized commercial off the shelf platform. How can this be within a billion dollar company..
What about global enterprise? Anyone know or hear anything?

It’s already tiring to work here..higher ups want all software development done in India or by contractors. They deliver cr-p and we are having do deal with that sh-t.. yeah fck it at this point ..

Heard internal IT Orgs were looking to be rebadged towards the end of September / early October. Rumors that Verizon is going to be heavily weighing on AI Agents to do the more intuitive updates and fixes and that internal engineering teams are using natural language prompts instead of writing traditional code to model network behavior, track traffic shifts, and optimize performance across the board.
Almost like you don't need a cert anymore, and can get away with an "AI Background" instead.. until AI fails and you need manual support again.. smh

Geeta, Wael, Ramesh and Senthil’s groups will be rebadged this year followed by Rahul, Pranay and Anil’s groups next year. All employees below the Senior Director level will be rebadged while those at the Senior Director level and above will remain with Verizon subject to some role reductions.

Any known information about VCG being hit? Considering how customer service was consolidated with tech support? The supervisors and AD seems to be very concerned.
There will be stages to this but yes I have heard rumors of a similar rebadge much like everyone else at the office who it'll impact.

NT is big organization, it has GTS, Network group , Technology and product development group
Look Dan and Alfonso has made up his mind and it is not just only GTS , some cleanup has been done , and mostly GTS would be rebadge , next year rest of TPD and GNT would be consolidated and some % be rebadged , he is looking for using Deloitte and ibm to do AI led transformation. He already made up his mind
Plan is mostly on paper but executing something in real is very hard and they would be out before execution fails that is 2028 , just like PayPal
I know for fact there are layoff happening on the 24th. GNT is getting hit.
Need more layoffs at the Manager & Director levels. Keep the technical Supervisors. At least they help out when it's busy. The lazy managers & directors pile work on you by forwarding escalation emails to you half a day late with upset customers they're trying to dodge. They are parasites.

@ab you are getting down voted brigaded but I agree. Just a bunch of “it’s happening” with no details of groups affected or anything. It’s no different than commenters coming in here and saying “Confirmed”.

There has literally not been one post regarding the 9/24 date that had any supporting details beyond people saying "they heard rumors in the office" or something similar. So I don't think we should put too much stock into this.
@a2 agreed, and a daily 9/24 post about rebadging and/or layoffs with zero details isn’t productive at all. I wish people would scan previous posts before just posting the same exact thing posted dozens of times
@OP Respectfully, you made the post so you must have some ideas. I don't doubt something is happening on the 24th but would love to hear details that back it up. What is your source? What have you seen or heard that promoted this post? It's a big company with lots of orgs and acronyms so specifics matter. Not too specific though... because... reasons...
