Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Still no severance pay

I was laid off from FIS after 28 years. My severance pkg includes 52 weeks of severance paid bimonthly as if I were still employed. My first deposit was due yesterday. I did not receive it and still haven’t I have tried repeatedly to call The People Office number but their voicemail is full so I cannot leave a message. I have tried repeatedly reaching out via email. Again absolutely no response. I have reached out to upper management. Again no response. Do I need to fly to Jacksonville to get any response? This so wrong and so typical of their executive people. Stupidly I honestly trusted them to at least pay me on time.

All - if you have signed a settlement agreement, that is a legally binding contract between you and FIS. If FIS have not paid you your agreed settlement on the date or dates specified in the agreement, speak with the Legal Counsel you should have discussed your settlement agreement with before signing it. FIS will be in breach of contract if (i) they have not paid you and (ii) you have abided by the terms of the agreement.

@aw What does this have to do with paying severance on time?

You are not as important anymore. After 28 years you still less important over your last 10 or 15 years. No incentive from home office as they try to remain competitive and finish off 2026 and balance the books

Their phone is probably ringing off the hook, so their voicemail box is full. In June, I missed my first payment because they didn't send me my severance agreement. I received my first payment in the second payroll cycle after I received and signed the agreement. Juia Runquist was assigned to help me. I assume she works at TPO. She opened a SNOW ticket and resolved the issue in three days. I learned that People Operations Hub in India actually handles severance agreements. We all know how competent the offshore people are. You can try emailing her to see if she can help you. It's obviously a long shot, but you are not receiving any help elsewhere. Her email address is julia.rundquist@fisglobal.com. Good luck!

Hi @OP - I feel for you. Are you based in the US? Based on what you've said, I guess you are as EU and UK employment laws prohibit severance payments of this nature. If you were given a specific TPO person to connect with, have you reached out to them? Hang in there - I know that's meaningless, given what you've said happened, but you have an audience and we're listening.
