You can keep threatening people, but eventually the threats lose their effect. Once employees stop believing they have anything left to lose, motivation goes with it. My entire team is now completely checked out. Find better managers, Solventum, or you'll lose all of us.

@fq I'm ff and the most non-HR person you could find. Why is it sus to ask for details? We get a big grandstand on "don't fearmonger us, management!" Isn't that what this site is about? Help the rest of us with details so we don't work over there.
Also, is this someone being grumpy about being held to some deadline, or a manager literally being like "Work over the weekend or you could lose your job."
One of my top critiques of Solv leadership is absolute emptiness. "Reignite innovation, reinvent what we do, solve what matters." Cool, literally name a thing that matters that we are going to solve next?
This is no different, just from the ground floor. "Boo to bad management and intimidation tactics, we'll have no more of it." No more of what?
But whatever, if you want to rah rah around empty complaints, go for it. Just make it consistent and rah rah whatever Bryan says next.
It is rampant open your eyes HR. Power struggle from the top at the cost of good employees
@ff nice try, HR!
Can you list some threats and your general org area?
I laugh at the managers here… especially the one arm mid-et….or the ones that came over from dental…..
If I felt I was being managed through fear, I would make that an ethics complaint.
What fear is your manager putting in you?
It's actually very involved to fire someone for cause. You need multiple examples and then they need to be warned via HR and eventually put on a performance improvement plan.
Your manager should be trying to correct what's wrong and working with other managers to clear your obstacles.
What would you like to see be done differently?
