They did drop health benefits this round. Laid off Monday. All benefits stop on Thursday.
In California, they’re giving the 2 months of WARN notice, but they’re also counting that time against your severance if you’re eligible for more than 8 weeks. So, for example, someone with 16 years of service might normally be looking at around 19 weeks of severance, but they would only get 11 weeks because the 8 weeks of WARN notice is being counted as part of it.
Did they drop COBRA? It was only a month but it was time to transition to new healthcare. The healthcare is a big piece of the package at most companies. Having to pay for medical insurance out of pocket will burn through any severance quickly.
4 weeks for year one. And one week for each year after. Son2 years =104.286 weeks 5 weeks. Joke !
It’s much lower. Meta it seems has the best package I’ve heard recently Oracle the worst.
I heard the package was one month of pay plus one week for every year you have been with the company which is slightly lower than the FAANGs.
