I was told in advance these US layoffs were due this month, and that EMEA would be impacted 4-6 weeks later.
Can't log in. I'm in the US. I guess it was a good run -33 years
European labor laws require longer consultation periods and negotiations.
Nobody there can be terminated via a 6am email or similar approach.
Much cheaper and easier to layoff other workers.
Europe will take time.
The next top managers will come from Europe, as they offer a good balance of cultural alignment and relative mid salary cost compared to US and also time zone wise.
OP, Europe gets hit weeks after the US and India due laws that actually protect employees.
