I work in HR and I'm going on the record to anonymously confirm with everyone that 6am emails will be sent starting in the US. I work with a team in California overseeing the layoff process. Approximately 17,000 employees will be impacted globally. Please be aware that a follow up email will be sent to your personal email address on file. And if you haven't updated this email correctly and do not respond to the email sent, you will receive a letter in the mail with 2 weeks after being locked out. Also be aware you are still on the hook for Oracle equipment that must be returned to Oracle.

but they were all fake news.
We'll find out if it's true or not in a little while.
Layoffs are coming and some folks have already been told by their managers. Just look at all the recent open to work popping up on LinkedIn
@aa, Go read the restructuring information in the 10Q submitted to the SEC last Friday. $2.1 billion total allocation... read the footnotes for that table... (paraphrase) the money is mainly allocated for employee severance.
The 10Q is a public document submitted to a federal oversight agency so there is a high probability that the information is true.
All those comments were fake, nothing is happening.

@a9 That 21k figure was from last years September plus this years march Rif (fiscal year total). About 10-11k each which lines up with slack counts. Given the restructuring number, 17k is way too high unless they significantly change the severance rules this round
