@OP there are always fall and spring layoffs.
The dates aren't static as each quarter varies slightly year over year.
You're 100% right that one will happen between now and mid-November as it's been the pattern I've seen for the past 5 years I've been employed here. Although there have been a few re-orgs on some teams where 1-3 people were let go already.
Before thanksgiving, I know that much.
