Am I reading this wrong?
Looking at the 10Q in the pdf format page 11. "2026 Restructuring Plan" look at the "Total 2026 Restructuring Plan" value and it is just over $2.1 billion. The first footnote states: "Restructuring costs recorded to each of the operating segments presented primarily related to employee severance costs"
They can layoff a lot of people with $2.1 billion.
@bb expect less severance not more...
@ay we can assume minimum there will be another 20k affected...
@a3 Move along. Nothing to see here. Move along!
@as
If you are Agentic AI, there is no layoffs ;0);0);0);0);0)
Last year was 415 and this year 700. Its going to be blood bath.
Or it will be a very generous package!
@ay It depends on what the average payout is. Will there be garden leave? How much will the average severance be? Where will most RIFs be? US? India? EU? Elsewhere?
So $700 Million equates to how many headcount cuts ?
Last year was 415 and this year 700. Its going to be blood bath.
Better pack things ahead.
If you are H1B visa, there is no layoffs
Up to $7.5B. Last time this happened (50M) was 2010 and he sold $1B over 10 months.
“Lawrence J. Ellison, our Executive Chair of the Board of Directors and Chief Technology Officer, adopted a new trading plan on June 22, 2026. Mr. Ellison’s plan is scheduled to terminate on October 24, 2026, subject to early termination for certain specified events set forth in the plan. The trading plan is intended to permit Mr. Ellison to sell up to 50 million shares of Oracle common stock.”
@aa It is actually September 11 but, yes, it is in there.

Read it for yourself. September 10, 2026 10-Q.
This is new. From the latest 10Q filed today:
“Subsequent to August 31, 2026, our management supplemented the 2026 Restructuring Plan by approximately $700
million to reflect additional actions that we expect to take. These costs will be recorded to the restructuring and other expense line item within our condensed consolidated statements of operations through the end of the plan.”
That was already known. There is nothing new spelled out in regards to forward looking additions. It doesn't mean there won't be layoffs, it just means folks are trying desperately to find clues where they are not guaranteed to be.
Ankle grabbing time!
Nothing is spelled out under SEC for restructure for 8/31.
