Fiserv preaches that they want collaborative work environments and people working together efficiently. That will never be the case when you have H1B visa holders that don't want to train anyone, don't want to knowledge share and hoard work so they can scream how busy they are but won't let any one help them. Leadership should be terminated for allowing this. I know personally directors that know they don't do a check to see if a US citizen can do the job before a visa holder. I think anyone reading this we should all go and report this to the government. This is why this company will fail. It won't stop here, what Fiserv will find themselves with is cr-ppy software and only visa holders there to fix it and they still won't make profit. It's what they deserve. And for you H1B visa holders that do work this way and I know a lot of them, I hope the layoff reaches you so you can go back where you come from and practice your non collaboration in your own country and see how far you get. Allowing these H1B visa holders to speak their language on premise should not be allowed. We live in America why do they get to communicate with each other in their language because they don't want Americans to hear what they have to say especially if it's about knowledge share which they only do with one another. In todays layoffs I would have expected a lot of non citizens to get laid off but nah majority Americans - this company will fail. A lot of Americans had been there for 15 + years, but that doesn't matter to Fiserv. Very Un-American!

@cd they’re not a homogenous unit, some of the best engineers I’ve worked with are H1B but that should go without saying unless you can’t get past racism. The bigger problem is the work culture drift and severe knowledge loss. When your colleagues are essentially indentured servants then your bargaining position becomes compromised. Fear dominates the work place when overseas teams and H1Bs readily replace home grown talent at a bargain. These id--t business people are peddling fools gold and unfortunately the product is people
If you know something, contact USCIS. They were soliciting information to be able to go after fraud. They still should be.
@c0 I work with them. They are hard workers and we've built great products together. If I ever get to a point where I feel job is threatened by an influx of any group or thing (AI), then I'll leave. I wouldn't sit in anger and blame them for being hired, or try to start a revolution. They were sought out and hired for a reason. I'd just find work elsewhere.
@bp working in engineering I’ve seen extremely talented people get chased out of Fiserv to be replaced by India teams or H1B. There is a massive and looming lack of knowledge because of this. Not to mention that AI has hyper accelerated low quality code to flood our systems. At some point there will be a critical mass where things simply fall apart because of executive decisions starting with RTO and hiring processes
What's up with the H1B obsession on this site? Get over it. They are not the reason for these layoffs. Fiserv is just a fu---d up company. I'm not going to the government about H1B visa holders. People are dying in this country because they can't afford healthcare. Now that's worth going to the government for.
Well frank is maga and looked how and where he left the company. Easy to blame your frustration on the easiest perceived enemy. If your government is serious go to your senator and demand the whole program be cancelled. This is white trash talk - you are here because you cannot get a job elsewhere
