This was really a tone deaf abstract town hall that didn't address how this new mission will affect the employees. This will take years but there's no mention of how much they are going to cut costs. AI will take our jobs at an even greater level.

@ah They will fail miserably. It will get ugly within 6 months max. No way they can pull this off cleanly. Much better companies are having their share of troubles and these guys have been wasting months, quarters, and years.

@a1 Mission Simplify is absolutely a multi year plan. Leadership has been clear on that throughout the process. The implementation that is being started now is merely the first phase, and as she explained in the god awful rocket metaphor, this is only the beginning and we won’t be stopping between phases.
It’s expected to continue at least through 2029.
No mention of the Cognizant contract and how they fit into mission simplify. I’m sure Cognizant will really enhance the mission by sending our jobs overseas.
She really acting like letting us go will put the money back into the pockets of the Medicaid mom. GIRL BYE
they want to use AI to help the member understand quicker because apparently employees aren't good at explaining? That's an indication of a broken process, failed training, poor management. Instead of addressing the actual problem, we're just gonna steam roll right over that and let a robot do the work. Accountability isn't a core value right? Do the hard thing? unlikely.

@OP its not going to take years. They just said implementation begins next week. They said they have a 5 year mandate, that suggests this is federally funded. They just said they plan to merge to one system that benefits the members, providers and stakeholders.
