Since we were told to expect another round of layoffs in 6-8 weeks time, morale and motivation has collapsed. Don't know which is worse- spending Christmas with family without a job or staying on and watch a clueless leadership sink the company even further and get laid off next year. Thank You EL.

if that is the case, then it is even more baffling then I'd imagined
if they are not hoping to save on severance by doing this, then yeah it would be wholly incompetence.
then again, i guess unless there is an tally somewhere, we won't know the pattern for sure.
@g7 Enrique, stop scrolling on the layoffs and attempt to mock people, go "back" to work
So another 6 to 8 weeks of people coming on here and asking the same stupid questions?
Has anyone heard anything?
I heard 6 to 8 weeks. Someone said 10 weeks recently.
Which departments?
Which regions?
How many numbers?
Did you get an email?
When is this happening??
How can they do this?
Is stripe still buying us?
Enrique doesn't know what hes doing
Enrique ruins the share price.
Enrique is geriatric
Enrique can't speak English
Enrique caused all the problems in my life and theres nothing I can do about it.
I hate my job boohoohoo
Im not quitting until I get my severance so I'll just come on here and cry about it for the next 10 years
Did I miss anything?
@b1 We were told this past week that GFCCP should expect up to 6 weeks to hear whether we re impacted. They hired an outside firm to evaluate our program.
@c7 This is definitely not true. They let a handful of people go that were twenty plus years in NA.
No one knows the formula or who's getting laid off in any particular pattern. Let's just leave it at that.
One thing is for certain we know they are coming in 6 to 8 weeks. People that were in this meeting and have already confirmed that.
Update your resumes and Good luck.
My favorite for this week of layoffs what’s this one. https://youtu.be/f-oNpSPKQmk
@dn oh wow, I’m in compliance also and our managers/team leads are saying the complete opposite- our department is totally fine, no redundancies happening, business as usual etc
@b1 the six week thing was confirmed by my managers. They basically told us everything on this blog was true. I'm not kidding. I'm in compliance.
Too bad no one in HR is getting laid off. They protect their own I guess. Sad
@b1 it was alluded to in a company email
@b9 No don't assume that the leadership is incompetent.
From my read, most of the people laid off from my team was sub 5 years, which means they would have gotten the min severance and no where near the max as like most severance its based on years at the company.
And by announcing an immediate cut after in x weeks or months, they are hoping that the people with 5-10-15 or more years at the company would leave on their own, because to lay them off would cost way, WAY more than these new hires from a year or two back.
Maybe in a lower cost of living place where the cost isn't as high this isn't true, but for NA it seems the people cut are "random" but tilts towards people at the company for less than 5 years.
@b1 because leadership is incompetent. Now we have another layoff looming over everyone’s heads.
@b1 This is for the wide risk , compliance and fraud org where layoffs were suppose to be announced alongside others but due to regulatory impact, they are getting it vetted by external consultancies and will announce it in around 6 weeks
What is the source of that six week reference? Why have six week gaps between layoffs? It makes little sense
Who said another round in 6 weeks?
Do your best that's all you can do and if your best is only 10% of what you were achieving before so be it.
