How do you work at a place where a humiliating exit, at a time not of your choosing, is universally guaranteed? Surely folks aren’t that hard up for money that they need to sell their body at a place like this?

@1th so they didn’t layoff in their last merger? Don’t lie lol. You’re basically saying they haven’t laid anyone off in 3 years.
@1gy Coterra never had layoffs they valued the people they employed. Devon is known for layoffs and a bad work environment
@c9 it’s a normal practice with Devon but not normal with well run companies. Don’t get it twisted lol
@1gw must be why Coterra hired out so much work. Get ready for January.
@1e2 . . . and that includes the Managers and Directors in the office. JOKE.
@1bn All legacy Devon superintendents in the DBBU are a joke
What’s the most humiliating is knowing that Rebbecca Jameson is in charge of anything…. By far the most corrupt and inadequate person to be in charge of anything… she humiliated many that were on the way out during the transition HR investigation is ongoing… her and her husband that worked for the Coterra side have been on the take for years
Temporary layoffs...Good Times!
Easy credit ripoffs...
Sorry if you were humiliated. Layoffs su-k. Atleast it wasn’t by email or showing up and badge not working?
All layoffs are failure in some regard. Accepting them as part of some bandwagon is an odd take. Fwiw I’ve been in the o&g bubble for 25 years.
@c8 not defending layoffs… you might be in a bubble though because this is common practice in O&G and not any different than the tech layoffs the last few years, or UPS, banking, etc.
Any company can have a layoff. However only companies truly dedicated to the sport can put together numbers like dvn over the past 10 years.
As if you aren’t subject to being laid off elsewhere with less pay & a worse severance package? Getting severed from an oil company isn’t humiliating anyway. Sounds like you’re projecting.
