my finance avp told us she doesnt care when we log on or log off to work. she said it just matters that we get our work done. she doesnt do work and her directors don’t either. you can be we arent working

@OP You desperately need someone who can micromanage you. If your manager wants you to focus on getting the work done instead of worry about someone monitoring you, that is a good thing.
@av exactly. and leaders like op describes almost ALWAYS have henchman who drive out good team members who try to correct course or who actually work.
People who don't log on to their IM & presence during work hours are dodging working. They have no decency & no respect for their hard working peers who are carrying the extra load because of their disgusting unethical behavior.
