maybe I’m being impatient, but on the offboarding page it states that on our separation day we will receive an email to our personal email address with the instructions.
haven’t received anything yet. I have had to return equipment before and remember they sent the box to my house, then I went to FedEx, etc.
for those who have gone through offboarding, will this be the same process?
@a6 do not use it. Tell them to send you a box and label and call fed ex for a pick up. Don’t spend your gas or time. They are lucky I did not throw off a bridge. O guess to send it to a contractor ? lol. Too funny.

@OP I received an email after my last day with a link to take to fed ex that did not work. I emailed them back and said to send a box and label and they did and I called fed ex and said pick it up and they did in 3 hours. Said 4 and 1/2 years wasted on these a--holes.
My last day was in April. Shortly after my last working day I got an email with a QR code. You take the laptop to your local FedEx. They scan the code and will take care of packing it and shipping for you.
I was the helicopter pilot for the CEO and would fly them around to different places. But I was laid off today. And guess what? That’s right, I’m keeping the helicopter! Thankfully, I already had a helipad I built behind my house.

@a4 I think your manager misspoke. while that may be an option under normal separation, this is a mass exodus and IT offices would not be able to manage an influx of people showing up. they track how many pieces of equipment are in the box when you get to FedEx.
We have to send it back…? I already threw my laptop off a bridge.
Mine came the day after my last day. I’m sure they want to milk all of our time out of us and don’t want us returning equipment on company time when they could get an extra hour out of us…
You will get a QR code for fedex. they will pack it up and ship..
We had a meeting today with my manager this morning and was advised to drop our equipment off at our local hubs! Mine is over an hour away. I'll wait until i get emailed instructions. I'm not wasting gas if i dont have to.
