Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Enrique shlts the bed…..again

My god, can this little troll do anything right? The stock is a yo-yo now and we’re at all time lows. A monkey could run this place better.

@aq
251 was the number reported to California as required by CA law, for folks working in CA

There are folks working in TX, GT, MX, India, and so on. Staff reductions were multiples of 250

@e6 i sold all mine recently after 7+ years of holding. Holding a stock on a buyout rumor or praying it will somehow recover to its intrinsic value has had a massive opportunity cost. It definitely should be much higher based on FCF alone but this a vote of zero confidence in the board and thinning margins. The employees and shareholders paid for their failures.

who cares about these penny stocks. The ONLY right decision (if you were in a situation allowing you that, i.e. you had any shares) was to sell them during covid for 270 USD, as it was clear as a day it is just a one time thing, related to covid bo-m and they were inflated back then. I recommended that to ppl myself back then. No, you do not build a long term wealth with PYPL shares, and this was abundantly clear many years ago, especially if you compare it to other assets in same timeframe.

Stripe just needs the rumor before the IPO. The monkey is afraid to say no to the harassment.

Worst management team possible. They have been scaring people for weeks in the US about layoffs. Productivity is down and remaining down. All for 250 layoffs? That’s insane.

Max Pain for options closing this week is $54. Wall Street owns this company like it’s little bi--h. Enrique is the little bi--h.

@ae they have ZERO confidence and respect for our management team. This guy was the most convenient yet the worst pick possible. Still cant believe the BODs.

He sure did. You can’t convince me this guy doesn’t hate his employees and shareholders. Only time I’ve heard him communicate was to kiss Trumps a-s one time on Twitter. How did that work out? He promised thought ICE was coming.

I dont understand why can't the likes of Citibank bid USD 75 per share and take us out of our misery. Citi in any case has no fintech arm unlike it's competitors like JP Morgan Chase. PP would be an ideal fit for a big Wall Street Bank. This clown show cannot save us. What a fecking disaster

CEO’s like him don’t have an actual strategy. Wall Street will just kick him around for the next year and Enrique won’t do anything. He will just get fired from the board after failing.

@a9 this will be dead money for years as Apple Pay and Stripe destroy them. A CEO this d-mb can’t turn you around.

@a7 there was that rumor about a new potential offer, but it was just that, a rumor. I have no idea what will happen but I'm guessing you're right that there will be no buyout, at least not anytime soon. The types of companies that could easily afford PayPal, like Berkshire or Apple, probably don't want to deal with the headache. This is just my two cents and pure speculation. The one thing I am certain about though is that the world has zero faith in this management team turning it around, even if there were a couple promising signs. It should trade much higher but I could see it trading sideways for another couple years. I recently sold my shares after holding for 7 plus years. Obviously I wish I sold it at 62, but I cut my losses and move the money to something I had more confidence in. I feel really bad for the employees who have to deal with this clown show and lose their jobs to. The employees deserve better than this. So much for fiduciary responsibility.

@a6 the BOD’s is by far the worst management team but Lores was just an awful hire. There is no buyout coming so it’s just going to be months of this BS until he gets fired in 9 months. Hopefully, the new new CEO won’t be a scrub.

@a5 there are two outcomes that are flat out unacceptable to investors. One, a low ball buyout offer, or two, the same id--ts continuing to run the show. The company is definitely undervalued and should be trading at 75 to 80, if it were any other management team. I find it disgusting that the board kept their jobs while they fire their good people. Even worse was them voting amongst themselves to decide the new CEO was the guy who served as chairman during the worst stock performance.

Maybe he should fire more people so our stock goes down more. He just can’t seem to do anything right. I thought firing people made your stock go up?
