Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

H1 FY 2028

If, globally, most sales reps fail to hit their quota, will Dell still increase targets again in H1 FY28?

If the majority of us are missing targets because expectations are unrealistic, what justification is there for increasing them further?

Could this “manufactured failure” ultimately be used as justification to reduce the workforce?

And with severance potentially being lower than in previous years when calculated against the new payout structure, it feels like we’re all being played here.

That's been talked about for years. Their are some good partners and some not so good. The company would love it. The issue is, some partners still need help with quotes.

All sales will be through channels, customers will never notice the change.

@OP unrealistic quotas simply delete your OTE.

It's their way of reducing your pay without explicitly giving you a paycut.

All will be on PIP. Another tool for Dell to get rid of people without paying severances.

Unfortunately, you either take it or leave it.

Organizing a lawsuit? Dell must have a heck of a lot of lawyers reviewing this. But, by all means, go ahead and sue Dell Incorporated.

It could also be used in a lawsuit against Dell. A manufactured failure could be an attempt to fire people and avoid paying them a severance. In such case it’s a violation of good faith and fair practices.

Yes, the new targets are unrealistic to begin with. They know that. The goal is not to hit the target, it's to get you to leave voluntarily.

Continued WFR is the single most important strategy they are focused on at this time. Their sole focus is to prepare the company for pieces and parts sale. Not sure who would want any part of Dell though. It's all gone to shiiiiiiiit.
