I'm at three now. Each one felt like the end of the world at the time. And each one taught me the same lesson, that you're just a number to them. No matter how hard you work, no matter how much you give, they'll cut you if it fits the spreadsheet. Sad but true.

Seriously, you must be a low performer to consistently be ranked at the bottom of those different workgroups. Not being snarky, just stating facts.
Surplused and forced to move 4 times, 1 other time I went of payroll for 15 months.
25 years plus, got hit three times 15 years ago and each time someone retired or transferred, and saved me.
I played the numbers game went from one department to another whenever my seniority got better.
to the person that said "if your a good worker or related to someone you get first dibs" that's only true if you are management!!

Once before AT&T and once during AT&T. I managed to stay on in a different position, but I know people who have been surplus two or three times and still with the company. You are just a number, but if you’re a good worker and someone can help you they usually do. And of course, there are the people who are related to somebody or the buddy system and they always get first dibs.
Confirmed. All companies layoff people, not just T. This is reality. Get used to it.
Only 2x both not here. I’m sure I’ll get let go in the next round or two though. They need to cut 45k people to hit Stanks new number and I’m sure a lot of people or yourself will be on that list. God help those that have to pick up the slack from all of that.
1 time but it was not at T. However, I did avoid the FTW layoff 2 times.
4X! 26 years of seniority, lowest on list at my Work Center! first surplus I lost several months of time adversely affecting my hire date. Given the time credit work but now seniority date was increased showing time separated!
Good luck! 5X is my limit! iat the point it’s time to say you wanted me gone, I’ll take the severance and say bye it’s what the company wanted and I was stupid to stay here.
