Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Why is HR’s senior leadership so bloated?

If you take a look at the org chart, 6 EVPs reporting into Chief HR Officer with countless VPs underneath them. Seems very excessive for a corporate function? Corporate Relations doesn’t seem to have anywhere near as much bloat

@es

consequence free is an undersell

I get 3 DEI emails a day

women and minorities love this stuff. who does like free promotions after all. or being told that the whole world is biased against you unconsciously (no science in this claim by the way). in fact, we all know about the “women are wonderful” effect and outsourcing which are real. we are even watching women excuse a peer who mu---red her own kids right now because of their vibes.

Aren't they the ones who are responsible for DEI and senior leadership having targets for increasing percentage of female identified people in senior leadership (Without regard for merit or consequence)?

If you can advocate for increased percentages without also mandating merit you can see the bloat.

the hilarious part is that there are basically no employees in HR

I’ve always thought this. I think one of the recent company wide reorgs HR actually grew at least in number of executives lol
