@cy Well spoken. That was exactly our point. We don't get hurt if an AI Agent terminates us but still it answers the appropriate questions.
HR 'director' doesn't give a damn while terminating a 25 year veteran.. we understand they are doing their job, But what happened to the Human part of the show ? and the so called professionalism.
I don't ridicule or attack even my enemy when they are sick or distressed.. I have rules of decent engagement.
To be honest I’d rather get laid off by an AI chatbot than some smug HR person read me off a checklist. Somehow being treated less than human by a computer seems better than coming from a human/co-worker.
AI cannot completely replace managers and human resources (HR) professionals, but it will automate repetitive tasks and eliminate jobs built around shuffling information.
@ce HR isn’t pushing back they’re actually enabling it. They cover for SVPs and their so-called ‘product vision.’ Anyone who doesn’t fit that vision (read: demographic/hierarchy) gets pushed out, one way or another. The lengths they go to protect those SVPs and VPs says a lot about how that HR VP got their position in the first place.
@c6 the headcount grows unsupervised? So what is HR doing?
@br Meanwhile at Fiserv: tech and product headcount grows unsupervised, purely on nepo-hire momentum. Apparently to implement more AI driven processes.
@OP Actually, 1/2 the company could be eliminated with AI eventually. Visa just cut 7% of its workforce - tech and product operations.
