I'm going to assume there were no cuts today?

I'm 99.99% sure the big RIF will occur on Tuesday Sep 8th. The day after Labor day has been RIF day for years. I don't want it to happen, but it will, regardless of when the "fiscal year" starts. At this point I've come to terms with it. Whatever happens happens.

Some engineers are spending their salary or more using AI. Definitely expect cuts

I would not be optimistic. Rather saying, that the speed they made decision after last RIF and gave data to HR in each region, just taking a bit longer, they would usually like to. Lets talk mid September :-) I would even say, that some regions could be even month after - EU has strict regulations etc.

However, lets enjoy fun we have here. Trolls, haters, lovers :-)

No. There will be no cuts, they know if they do another mass layoff that's the collapse of their Cloud business. Customers will leave because the staff will be unstaffed to resolve customer inquiries and issues, no internal operations.
