Org structure significantly more vertical. Regional groups are not being eliminated at the operation level, however sounds like some consolidation will happen at Central level including engineering and standards.
This seems more about the failure of the org to deliver what the states they operate in have been asking for a decade. This is the proposal response to increase accountability, we'll see if it works.
Blame your elected officials if you want to blame anyone for the changes that are being incurred. States ask for the utilities to modernize the grid without spending money. Today's employees aren't responsible for 50 years of lack of innovation and investment on the grid between 1970-2000 that put the industry where it is now.
