How often is management reading chat messages or reviewing and monitoring emails with coworkers?

lol just plug this into YouTube and see how easily this is done with teams and how common it is.
That is definitely not happening. They can track your work if you have sapience installed on your computer, but I think those are a few and far between..
@a3 same. They have to have very specific reasons to do it and they've gotta be supervised by corporate security while they're in there
Been in management for several years. Have always tried to dedicate half my day to going through my FTEs email and teams messages. Need to keep up with high school gossip and rumors.
On a serious note, we do not have access to your teams or email. If there was something serious going on, IT and HR could get their hands on it. Also believe it or not mangement doesn’t have time to care about that. If there wasn’t enough work they would shut busy work down our throats
I'm a manager and I've never been able to read a direct report's email or OneDrive unless they left the company.
I dont trust my management team of bullies. We have 5 managers and they roughly have 4 reports each. We have 18 reports and only enough work for maybe 6 FTEs since managers also do the same work. Somehow they continue to get approval to hire more even though our team doesnt "own" any type of process, procedure or policy. We throw our name on everyone else's work. The team has regularly raised red flags about our poor management/leadership so of course they bully some of us providing feedback.
Very, very rarely unless there is a specific reason.
If they were doing that I would have been fired a long time ago
