I stumbled across this site and just wanted to tell you that I am one of the 600,0000 (600k) members that received a letter today that you are exiting my plan and that my Medicare coverage has been terminated.
I am hopping mad! I mean, what kind of looney tunes circus are you guys running there anyway!!!
@fv We, in the Medicare community, have been and already are in the process of coalescing our efforts to make known our displeasure of Humana’s strategy to exit our Medicare plans to our elected officials, AARP, Attorney General, CMS, etc.
We are hoping that action will be taken. We have also expressed a desire for contracts to be ended with all of the large for-profit health insurance corporations, such as Humana, United, Elevance, Cigna, and Centene. And have asked our government to instead in the future give the contracts to non-profit organizations instead to handle the administration of Medicare. Or else return all the work back to Traditional Medicare and simply hire more employees to go after the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse.
I am very sorry to hear you employees have been effected as well, by the decisions of these behemoth greedy corporations. Wishing you all well!
Sorry this happened. Unfortunately no one on this forum can help. We are not the top execs. We are all worried about keeping our jobs and supporting members like you. I would send to corporate and to any media outlets (TV, etc).
They’ve openly said the goal is to remove the least profitable portion of its Medicare Advantage business and improve margins.
Humana wants that taxpayer money directly from the source and they will get it by covering the Medicaid sector. And don’t think Medicaid is only state-funded. Large percentages of Medicaid funds come from your very own federal taxes.

What kind of world are we living in where this kind of business takes place?!
