Wells Fargo Analysts Turning Cautious on US Stocks

"The bank’s analysts, led by Ohsung Kwon, the firm’s chief equity strategist, warn of “broad cautiousness” heading into September as investors grow increasingly anxious about the sustainability of the AI-investment bo-m. The team expects capital expenditure fears around the AI build-out to peak. However, they note, their sentiment indicator remains more positive than negative after a mid-August selloff."

With such deep competence around WF, who even doubts this.

I have no doubt that if his Kwon's recommendations are bad, they will be stacked ranked, IMd and fired.

This is the mother of all bubbles. It is based on yet another tech silver bullet... named AI. Somewhere along the line the bubble will burst.

I mean that’s been obvious for anyone just glancing at a chart. If anything saying that means they are way behind the crowd. Sure stocks are holding but has anyone taken a gander at the bond market lately lol

@aq No, this is not (yet) at all like the dot-com bubble. From Sept 1999 to March 2000, the NASDAQ almost doubled. If the NASDAQ were 52,000, maybe... We are a very long way from that. The valuations right now are not super crazy.

Equity analysts as a group are a lagging indicator. They reflect market sentiment, not lead it. If they were any good... they would on a yacht in the caymans not working for WF

Quick translation: This bunch of criminal a--holes plan to short the market and want to poison the investment pool. Should be put in prison for this cr-p but they get by with it. You have some a--clown writing/saying this garbage and in the next cube over his coworker is shorting the he-l out of it.

Any time the market has charged up this long and this broadly, people should be very very concerned. We're basically reliving the dotcom bubble.
