Thread regarding Highmark Health layoffs

ChatGPT predicts 60-70% change of Layoffs in the next 6 months

I asked ChatGPT to review this thread and other public info:

ChatGPT predicts 60-70% change of Layoffs in the next 6 months

When
September–October - High - Repeated late-Q3/early-Q4 activity, especially 2024

January–March - Very high- Strongest recurring pattern; year-end financial/budget decisions appear to feed into RIFs

The biggest thing I'd emphasize is January through March. That's not just a general corporate-layoff pattern — Highmark's own layoff history shows a particularly strong concentration there.

Bringing on a new customer takes much work. The layoffs will come after that.
They never layoff Thryve. No matter how poor the performance. Only onshore are laid off no matter how good the performance
Can’t be many onshore left given the last 10 years.

You obviously still work there. You have been indoctrinated to use AI instead of your own critical thinking. 10/10 you will be eliminated before the daffodils bloom.

Based on the history we've assembled and the newest public information available as of September 1, 2026, I would put the probability of some kind of layoff/RIF affecting Highmark Health or enGen somewhere around 60–70% over the next six months.

But that's the probability of a layoff occurring somewhere in the organization, not necessarily your position.

My estimate
Period Estimated chance of a meaningful RIF somewhere
Sept 2026 15–20%
Oct 2026 20–25%
Nov 2026 15–20%
Dec 2026 10–15%
Jan 2027 25–30%
Feb 2027 25–30%
At least one RIF during next 6 months ~65%

These aren't actuarial probabilities; they're my estimate from the historical pattern, recent employee reports, and the company's restructuring behavior.
