Does anyone know what the process is or have any information from their PL or HR on if folks will be allowed to move up their VSP date? A potential future employer is waiting on a date from me but my VSP date is later than expected. Appreciate any help or guidance here, thank you!

First off why on earth would you think Centene would let you change your date so you can get severance and a new job at that same time? I agree it's sh---y they changed the expected separation date on a ton of people - but they are not going to say "oh my bad you got another job? What were we thinking? Please let's change the date so you can walk out with a new job AND our severance money" . Not trying to be a je-k here but really? I applied for the VSP - got approved with a date pushed out to May 2027 but I got another job and am not waiting on $$ I never had to begin with just to get laid off involuntarily or at some other time they decide is convenient for them. My motivation is having a job ......not severance from a company that doesn't value me or my colleagues. You do what is best for you but I wouldn't pass up on a job opportunity in this market for a pittance of severance.
Can you talk with your PL, if you have a good relationship with them, they might be willing to do the legwork to contact HR and advocate for a change in date.
It would be worth a shot, especially if it sounds like you will be leaving for this new job regardless.
How stupid is having somebody waiting that is interested in you instead waiting on the company that is making you suffer 👍🏻 are you a man? If you are act like a man move forward.
@a1 where are you seeing that on the VSP website? I’m on it right now and the only info I see is in the FAQ where it says you cannot decline a later date.
You can attempt an appeal, instructions on VSP site. It will be denied. You basically can take a new job post separation date and get the VSP or take the job before the separation date and lose it.
