So i just called the VSP line and inquired about my designated separation date of March 19,2027, whether that’s going to change. The lady I spoke to says that’s unlikely to change.
Thoughts?

@OP My trust is completely gone. They can move up our dates if they choose to. What happens if we are sold? There is no trust at this point.
@an ahh. i guess arbitrary definition of being safe = never having to be laid off at all. 😂
@a1 by default they are not technically safe. That only means they will not be involuntarily let go. They already have volunteered to leave and will still be leaving, it's just that they are not going to be involuntarily cut.
I don't think the date is going to change. I am hesitant to stick around for the severance pay, as this whole process has felt off and I don't feel like it's guaranteed. If I get a good job offer, I'm going to take it and not look back. Su-ks missing out on the severance, but it seems like they are looking for reasons not to pay. Like saying you'll be out in two months but then changing it to a year 🙃
@a1 what dates were you given if you dont mind me asking? and how are you holding up?

Sounds right. What I was told is that the dates given out won't change. And those that have dates are safe from the upcoming RIF/ISP.
