Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Would anybody volunteer for a layoff?

If it was offered? I need this job, but I'm thinking there are those who wouldn't mind leaving with a package. Wouldn't it be better giving them that opportunity and saving some jobs for folks who really want to stay instead of starting indiscriminate cuts right away?

Yes. The constant dread of waiting for that layoff email or you end up surviving to end up with more work or in a different department is not worth it.

Don't get your hopes up. PayPal hasn't offered any voluntary redundancies for many years, and it's more than doubtful that they will do so now. PayPal doesn't care about you or your personal situation; they couldn't care less. There are countless examples of how badly employees have been treated during the redundancy process. We should simply acknowledge that PayPal has become a really bad employer.
