Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Departments

Anyone have any idea if theyre laying people off from the call center?? I know of at least 2 people in claims ( not analyst or anything) people who take the calls from the providers who got vsp offers…..but what about the ones who worked here only a year like myself? I see lots of people post all over about what their managers say or theyre in IT or a case manager with all of this different information, im just hoping to get some answers to help some friends and myself

Personally I think many roles are on the table to be cut. Like the email said, involuntary ones will follow in August and after depending on what their plan is and the roles that need to be staggered. Hard to predict who and when comes next after this. I think you can only do the best you can and if you don’t think you can take this, I would begin looking. Doesn’t hurt to look until you see what happens. Best of luck to you.

Those with less than 2 years are not VSP eligible but you are surely RIF eligible as this is what Centene is known for…. If you are laid off, you will be eligible for unemployment by your state …. Centene is not required by law (depending on state and only like 3 states have this) to offer any severance. It is like any job…. Whatever they want to do they will do !!! Count your blessings to not be like the majority of ppl here who have given 10 years plus with nothing else to show for.
