It has been confirmed that there have been some RIFs completed today. Unsure of how many people were affected or departments. Anyone have any more information?

When is the next layoff?
The outsourcing strategy was consistently communicated as being part of the plan. This never ever changed. If a role is in the US or Canada and can be done remotely, it will be moved offshore in a current or upcoming wave of restructuring. This leaves North American employees in three buckets:
- Those that can find better, more dependable employment elsewhere and proactively leave. Let’s be honest, the constant fear and uncertainty is a morale ki-ler and causes unreasonable anxiety for most.
- Those that have a lot of tenure and equity and aren’t willing to give up possible severance. This is the “pay me to leave” crowd.
- And finally, those who have critical, in-person roles that cannot be outsourced (these are fewer of these than most people think). The issue here is these jobs become more difficult to do when internal stakeholders you rely on get axed and expertise goes with them.
The risk that those with lots of tenure run is that eventually, severance may no longer be offered or the offers continue to be less generous. This environment puts everyone on defense and creates ongoing toxicity in the workplace.
The entire US based part of Boarding was let go. It is now only people in Manilla. They are 100% off shoring any non-sales they can.
I’m being moved to WP. No offer of severance if I decline.
What locations?
@a1 90 day working notice with 2 weeks of pay per year of service up to 26 weeks. They are to work until 10/23
Can confirm they are GP operations layoffs, not being moved to Worldpay, jobs being moved offshore
I’m a little surprised this wasn’t leaked sooner
Yup. Both are happening- moving to WP and RIFs. Had my meeting today
I heard impacts to operations under Laurent. Not sure the specific department
Rumors are spreading fast that impacted individuals from Global are either (1) being moved to a role in World Pay or (2) being laid off from the company. No word on pay or severance. I’m assuming it’s all being kept hush hush.
