Heard few people got emails at 9.00 and few will be getting at 11.00 ?
Anyone heard the same ?

@10p and the sad irony is that the C-level people resigned or were shown the door.
Did it also impact DISD or they were kept safe as they work on ov contracts?
I see a lot of people have discovered this page and that makes me happy, but I also see many are dropping names of low level folks and that's not allowed. If new here, please read the rules (there aren't many, no politics, racisms, no names unless it's the C-suite, stuff like that) to make sure our threads don't get nuked by the mods.
@10e almost all PEs. You name it
Are there any names of Jupiter Engineering people that have been let go?
@x3 People from International were let go on Friday. Did they let more International people go today?
I heard three waves today. Dgsd in LFF, Jupiter engineering, and International. Not sure if this is true.
Is it aero ?
who are getting impacted today - any details on number, teams, names?
@wb This company hasn’t handled any of these layoffs well. Complete mismanagement at every turn.
@vt that's weird, then why did they sent an org wide email on Friday sounding like its over at least for now?
Which teams , how many? Hope it was regular all hands and not the dreaded one
@w6 which team in LFF got impacted?
Some in LFF got impacted today.
@vt is it layoff meeting or just regular all hands meeting?
@vx what numbers? who were the high hitter there?
@vz same reason a cat toys with its’ food…because it can.
why is denver playing these silly cruel games at Hughes, they should shut the whole thing down at once, this will be the fate in a matter of few months.
@vx how many more today ?
Jupiter Engineering
@vt which teams?
@vt which team ?
They’re doing layoffs today at EXP. I just got an email to come to auditorium at 10:30
@ed 500 and 540 were numbers I saw in a different thread
@r4 I heard they are informing the remote employees today. Oscar H is remote, another Sr Director in SDG who was remote also got the email today.
@r4 Oscar H, the VP? I think he was the recent joinee... anyone else there ?
@qv oscar et al
@qr have not heard of anyone, which part?
@qr details please?
@qp yes Aero is getting hit
More people getting "the email" today, according to someone who survived Friday.
@q0 This makes sense and there were good people that left other departments and aero the first half of the year. I do not think RR will stay with a team of incompenets and leftovers. He is too young to retire and he has left Hughes before, and comtech, and carnival cruise lines, etc. He is good and it will not help aero or hughes if that happens. But given the across the board slashing that happened friday i don't think echostar gives a damn.
@mv I believe only 6 were impacted in it but many good folks have already left in last few months, it is mostly left of the rejects who were transferred from other teams and very incompetent. Reza is great but everyone under him are useless. They were mostly spared as they have contract obligations but it is just revenue but no profit margin .. they will not get any new contracts - so it is better for rest all folks to leave at soon as they can
@mv yes. Consumer generates a lot of revenue and cash flow and was largely gutted.
How is Reza’s Aero group impacted? That is one of the few places making money for the company. I assume Reza is still there. Are they cutting in departments that are actually generating revenue?
@ep Demetric anamateros, Lisa loeffler, Holly Bowen, bob stedman
They also gutted consumer. No one left to lead agents in the call centers. Some special project agents completely lost all corporate contacts. If you're a residential customer just get starlink. There is no one left to help you.
@kz do you know which team?
I heard that they will hire back few folks on contract to sustain through... not sure though
@k6, enterprise support got gutted. I'm not sure how Hughes will continue to support the field teams effectively.
