At my old Bank, we usually only work half day so we can go out early to celebrate the holidays. I am surprised not to sd an email from any of the managers.
What happened to people first and celebration of holidays?!!

What a weird post. Comp time is very manager-employee relations specific. Not sure how this is helpful to anyone. I’m a manager and I limit comp time only to those team members who go above and beyond in their work.
If anything it seems like OP intent is to sow in our minds that somehow it’s not patriotic if our manager doesn’t give comp time for July 4th. Take your PTO time if needed.
Yeah, it depends on the area that you are in. We were told we could leave if our work was done and mine was more than done. It’s not a systemic issue. It’s a departmental issue.
We were "allowed to" leave early, subject to work being done. Monday morning deadlines that didn't move out because of a holiday meant working the full day + 4 hours over the holiday weekend. Goonjackass doesn't celebrate 4th of July and doesn't give a sh-t.
@OP that ended when Richard Davis left
My team received an email from our manager that we could leave early. But we got it on Friday. Would have been nice to get it in advance so we could plan our work around it.
No. We only celebrate Diwali around here.
My group did.
