Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

The only RTM that's happy are the lazy ones who think they should work from home putting all on the MOW's those are the RMS ' s who were pushed down also the think nothing of coming out doing a fake coaching trip tell you your display wasn't properly built you missed a case in back stock and aren't selling enough

A former RTM here---take the severance!! The job is a nightmare. You will work 60 plus hours a week with NO OT! The company is heading to warehouse because no one is going to work like a dog for $20 an hour.

I’m saying peace out! Good luck to whoever takes over my territory when I’m the one holds the team together and everyone else are lazy slobs.

Fellow Mondelez employees past and present.

Every two years something like this comes along, it’s been happening ever since the Kraft/Nabisco days.. you know the outcome, you know Mondelez will not get it right. It’s the same ploy to rescue head count and save money…

Remember the elf’s

@a1 I’m in North East
I regret taking RTM position. The bump in salary you will get will just replace the OT you are no longer qualified for as a manager. 3/4 of people in position looking to get out. Get ready to be available 24/7 especially when people call out. It’s you 7 days if needed

Glad I got out when I did.
The rtm role is horrible and just a way for the company to save large amounts of money and benefits . The rtm role would be great if it was done right and remove all the other crazy requirements that come with the role that you don’t have time to do as much as they would like because your too busy covering vacations and trying to keep the work load manageable for the people that you do have so they don’t leave . If are some of the few that can do it all and have great metrics you ki-l yourself doing it both mentally and physically and at the end of the day it’s not good for you .
Pitcher does not raise dmi , those that have a high rate in pitcher , had a high dmi metric before pitcher ever came along I promise you that .
Wish they had done the whole thing better and with a realistic work load and not expecting rtms to be available all day everyday 365 days of the year and manage the crazy chaos .
Good luck to those that continue to hang on

As a RTM in north east region, i say take the severance. You can’t keep MOWs (what they call ftows now) , and you will just keep covering when they quit. You will get another id--t to fill that position and train, because only the id--ts apply… and you will be trying to cover all your other bs, while DMs and RDRs complain that you’re not computing your coaching forms, you’re not getting your dmi, you’re not using your pitcher, meanwhile you’re just trying to hold your territory together while they sit at home forwarding emails and telling you all this nonsense you should be doing when the bottom line should just be servicing the stores and filling the shelves.

@a4 you have x amount of days to apply for the RTM or FTOW but if you get neither, you should still get severance, as you’re last day isn’t till Oct 2, 2026. Bank on AT LEAST 50%-60% of “former,” SR’s, not being employed, w/RMS automatically getting a territory, that effects RTM positions still available. Just note this: As a former employee, you won’t find one former “SR” regretting being laid off. Of course that is 20/20 hindsight wisdom. It’s never thrilling to go through the tunnel as it’s not till you come out of it, that you realize, you’re in a better place, now. If you’re a 30+ year lay off employee, find your passion and make it happen. If you’re a millennial or Gen Z, it’s slim pickens for any “substantial,” paying job out there, let alone getting a job, period. Trade work or a service job, tend to be the jobs AI can’t take over. Of course, social media if you’re good at influencing! Good luck…..

@OP they told me that we can apply for the order writer position. Will I keep my salary ? Will I keep the company car ? I highly doubt that . Stepping down from what I’m making to what a MOW makes . Ain’t no way . Still waiting on the exact numbers but so far I’m taking the package . rTM role is horrible from what I’ve been hearing . Not one person has said they like the new position. All of them
Regret not taking the package
