Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

1/2 day in office 1/2 day vacation time

How does such a scenario calc?! My laptop will ping to the network but I have 4 hours vaca time in workday. I’m guessing this is a double positive for “workable” days and days in office % but looking for confirmation.

@de ha, I've been saying someone similar for years. I didn't realize it had been coined as a "law" for over 50 years. Some people really refuse to learn.

I have tried different SSL amounts from 3.5 hrs to 4.5 or more for various medical appointments. Only th 4.5 and higher counted to subtract that day from eligible in office workday totals. Even though I was in the office part of that same day my total in office eligible days were reduced.

@d9 this is how I experienced it working too, so I'm glad someone else has had this experience

The RTO policies are Goodhart's Law in action: "When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure."

4 hours removes the day from counting towards a required in office day.
But if you go in and work the first 4 hours, it will count as credit towards your remaining in office days. (Not per policy but per the way the tracking system works)
I’ve done this every month for the past 3 months and it always credits me with a day in office and removes a required day.

@OP It’s not your fault. But the fact that you spend time thinking about this, worrying about this, and asking the question is Exhibit 579 that this policy is completely broken. But that is what d-mb policies do.

It'll take the day out of the calculation for anything 4 hours or more of PTO, so the day won't go toward the total possible, but it also won't give you credit for going in.

It counts in office only. You do not get double credit unfortunately.
