Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

@1mn It feels like they are holding onto a lot of us now, yet giving us no work, and then trying to find ways to engineer it all as our failure. I am very happy to accept a VR as soon 2pm today. But one is not forthcoming. I apply every few months but get told the decision from last month has not changed. I remind them that I've had no billable work since my previous application. They run around asking why not and might find 10 mins work and a status call to attend. It's boring, but why quit and retire when you can wait and get a VR. Waited too long to quit now....

@19s Pick me! I have done nothing of any value for around 3 months now. The organisation is so disorganised. When I suggest I would be happy to be let go on a VR they say they can't or won't. So I sit here another month keeping my Teams green. The way it's going I'll have been paid more to do nothing than it would have cost to have let me go when I first made a VR application. I've run out of things to learn, tidy up or check. I'm doing exactly what I've been asked to do - nothing!

Don’t be confused

Offered VR is the road to CR

Turn it down and it’s automatically CR in week 2

@OP DXC HR really don’t know themselves. Just like all previous WFR rounds, they just target the bench (it’s a numbers game). If they were a competent company they could engage properly with employees rather than using us as a body shop. Then accounts (e.g. Met Police) wouldn’t be in such a mess. This one in particular is a prime example of a genuine prospect with real potential growth for DXC (if managed properly) but unfortunately we all know the outcome.

The rule is anyone not yet aligned to the POD structure who is remote working

So if that’s you, be prepared.

Me and my colleagues are getting nervous about this in CES, no real work in six months and no signs of anything on the horizon.
