Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

What's your raise history?

What's the highest increase you got, outside of a promotion?

27% - non promotion, off cycle event - I received an outside offer that was met and exceeded by Wells to stay. Did require operating committee member to sign off.

0.7%, 0.8%, 1.3%, 1%, 0.3%, 0% - and yep i am ready for that package. the Cost of living in my area have skyrocketed. Mexico is looking better than what i'm seeing here in America. I look around the office and there's just a bunch of casting from Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom. This place blows, hard.

Raises and promotions are now only yearly and you must advocate for yourself and ask your managers directly. Squeaky wheels and all. Don't look for them to advocate on your behalf without prompting.

28% in 2017.. life changing!! Best group ever. Job satisfaction was best experience of my career. The leader was pushed out after HY came in.

@OP 14% was my highest without a promotion but that was solely based on a realignment. I ended up being the only Sr role in the dept but pay wasn’t much different from lower levels so they gave me a bump to “catch up”. Other than that you’re lucky to get anything over 3%.

Raises are so uneventful and meaningless, I don't really remember them past the convo with my manager. But the most I ever got was about 8%. I got moved to a level 2. My department was experimenting with how to promote folks without really promoting them. So, some of the high performers were given a decent raise and a 2 was placed next to our job title. For whatever reason, they stopped doing it not long after they started and, of course, some folks were angry because they didn't get that bump.

A couple of times, I was given a second raise after the merit increase. My manager was always happy to bless me with another little raise. This was several years ago. The last time it happened was right before the COVID lock down. Added together I would say the increase was probably around 5-6%. I really don't recall. Of course, I was good with receiving it. You know, every little bit helps.

7.5% and 9.5%, but was pretty low in salary range. Other than that 2% to 3% avg. Got a 17% once, but that was a promotion.

17% for an exceeds, but that was truly a one-off event that my manager busted their bo--y to get me since the new management had sc--wed me on a benefit the previous management had OKed.

Outside of that, 5%, but that's because I was dirt-cheap, and it was quite a few executive management groups ago. It was basically another stars-aligning event.

The far most common "merit increase" is in the 1.8%-2.0% range. In case you don't understand what that means, it should be interpreted that merit is not valued here.
