Rumors have been going around for months that layoffs we’re happening in February and sure enough, got the email after hours from my manager’s manager of a meeting first thing tomorrow morning.

Got laid off 13 hours ago as well. Same way as others mentioned. Skip invites HR and she read a script. Got to know my manager who is a VP was part of the layoffs as well. I wish whoever takes the decision tries to find how cr-ppy the application is for their unrealistic deadlines.

@c2 same here. Manager was notified this morning couple hours before my meeting. Talk about being just a number - and reading off the legal script.
Starting to see on LinkedIn and seeing some people that have been affected. I know one from human resources.

Yep, same here. got the meeting invite from a "skip-skip" manager. This person read off a script, didn't have any emotion (don't think they cared). Notified today and computer will be turned off EOD (2/12)
We had zero indication and my direct manager had no idea this was going to happen. (hard for me to believe that but I take this person at their word).
Plus I'm a 'meets expectations' employee so it wasn't performance based. I'm thinking it was a seniority based thing.
You would hope your manager and one up would have the common decency to reach out.
