The last I heard there were said to be layoffs/RIF's (1/9/26), does anyone have any updates?

Heard yesterday there was a bunch of layoffs at UOP, impact being in two weeks.
Rumors are that only 100 employees "raised their hand" for buyout offer, yet HR's target was 200.
All layoffs are being cancelled. UOP has battery and catalyst technology that no one else has. Plus the brilliant business mind of KW too, that is converting technology into great profit margins.
probably not enough volunteered or the ones who volunteered won't be allowed to leave
Did enough people raise their hands for volunteering?
Mostly affecting sales, I've heard of some in Texas today.
No layoffs currently. Guy on the inside told me there has been a voluntary hand raisers though
