Will this apply to all teams, or will some remain fully remote? I’ve heard it applies across all departments.

@OP there are several married couples I know who work for PNC where 1 was left completely remote...not even the "temporary remote until space opens up" FULLY REMOTE and the other Spouse is mandated 5 days a week. They're lying at worst about "proximity", inconsistent at best
What department are you in that you got an email that you are still remote?
@an It says "too far" but that is undefined. If an executive is willing to drive 4 hours and 200 miles a day, anything less than that won't be "too far" for an employee making 10% as much, so RTO or be terminated.
@a3 There was a link in the email with further information and I thought it read that if you were too far, you remained remote?
Walk out May 4
No more lunch meetings
No more after hours
No more weekends.
I know a few people in Philadelphia who will not be returning to the office yet, some within 20 minutes of 1600 Market. Makes no sense. Absolute garbage.
38 miles from the office they are sending me. I can't imagine how long it will take in rush hour traffic.
They effectively are laying me off without severance.
@a5 The lambs I sacrificed on the break room table earned me no favor with the Gods above.
Not EVERYONE is going in. Specific departments and roles are staying remote... the PNC gods smiled on them while others will be smitted. Lol... Long live the King BD.
I’m almost positive it’s department specific. I received an email earlier today stating I am remote and will stay that way.
Yes, PNC is requesting people they hired with the assurance of a fully remote position to sell their homes and move to a PNC hub for no compensation other than their current salary.
This is a layoff no matter how you slice it. If it is truly about culture then PNC is being whelmed by lunatics running the asylum.
@a1 Someone on my team lives 1.5 hrs away accounting for traffic from their closest office in Houston and still got an email to RTO in May. We're all done for!
@OP It's company-wide. Even for people who are far far away from their closest office will eventually have to come in. I'm not even sure what that looks like to them.
