Getting people who have given years to this company on group calls to tell them they are now unemployed is inhumane

Communicating layoffs via a group call is a coward’s way out. It’s incredibly painful to tell someone they’re losing their job but that’s what any decent manager should do. It comes with the territory and people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. For those that had this experience today, I’m genuinely sorry and I hope your next employer treats you much better.
You can thank that pompous cheerleader, Hans and the incompetent board members that enabled Verizon to keep raising consumer cost until the subscribers got pi---d off and left. That’s not a strategy but yet that’s what Hans and the board did and now it’s going to cost people thousands and thousands of jobs. Pathetic leadership
