Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Is it all FTE employees?!

Anyone heard any contractors being layed off? All I have heard atleast from my team is FTE…which su-ks. I thought contractors would have been more impacted than FTE.

Dan is reducing the capital budget and outsourcing… which most contractors fall under. Most contractors are capitalized… so I’m sure in the upcoming year, there will be a hit.

I was told today is just about notifications to FTE's but that our turn is coming; I am a contractor. AD wasn't doesn't know when we can expect to hear (or if we will even have a heads up) when it's our turn.

A lot of cuts to employees and contractors alike. What a toxic company. Everyone should’ve seen this coming under Hans leadership or lack of.

They kept saying employees. You really have to pay attention to the specfic words used, they are carefully chosen.

@OP was told it was mostly FTE right now.. but I know some small handful of contractors are being impacted. Dan mentioned cutting down on outsourcing which will likely impact HCL/Infosys/TCS offshore, but unclear.

@OP
reducing contractors is just a contract update. no handholding, no extra calls or emails. that will for sure happen as per the note this morning

@OP This morning's note from Dan was clear about the 13K being employees.
