Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Seems like whoever has been asked to wfh for the rest of the week

is on a chopping block. Whether that be your team or certain people from your team.
Around my office, some groups have been asked to wfh until Friday and for some is business as usual.

Our manager calls everyone regardless either way, so requested us to work from home on Thursday for privacy sake

@a1 Right, but few people can. What org do you work in? and who said you're safe? Just asking. Thanks.

@a2 How do you know you are safe? Not trying to be funny, just asking.

That's not true its about etiquette. Its an emotional and uncomfortable situation to be in the office when you or the person next to you are going to get rif'd. I give your leadership credit for letting people wfh during this. Only a real a$! hole would make you come to the office to be fired in front of others.

@a1 yeah, not true. My org is WFH and won't be impacted either. Fake News.

Im not sure that I agree with that. We were told our whole org can work from home this week and next week. The whole org cannot be cut due to the nature of our work.
