Aa someone who got RIF'ed today after 20 years of living the Credo every single day, trust me: the knowing is MUCH WORSE.

Verizon is dysfunctional in everything it does. From vz2.0 to go90 to vgs to rto and more. It can’t even do layoffs with clarity and organization. Horrible leadership that just gets worse.

Had a meeting today at a venue with multiple VZW and VZB team members, and it was the only topic of discussion. No real care about anything else happening…
@a7 I’m a psycho but it only takes a few minutes to copy and paste all the org charts out of inside Verizon. I knew last rif every single person let go pretty easily. Management is never clear about it otherwise.
IMO they shouldn’t have mentioned 11/20
Assume you will be RIF’d and move on. Plan your next steps after 11/20. 30-60-90 day plan. I’ll be spending the holidays with my family, applying for jobs and unemployment and a whole lot of praying. :) Stay positive and you’ll be okay.
Silence today (11-17), silence tomorrow (11-18), and silence Wed (11-19). Don't expect to see any type of communication until at least Thursday (11-20) or Friday (11-21). And that communication with be vague at best.
And your correct...there will NEVER be a list or formal communication of the individuals, groups, teams, etc. that were let go. Send an email one day and that person's just gone or disappears from the company internal org. chart. Other than that...don't expect to hear much formally from VZ. Sad....but true! You may see something from your VP's down the road about the actual numbers within their own organizations (very high level only). NO SPECIFICS! Set expectations accordingly.....sorry...but honest feedback.
