Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

They have money for offsites but…

Noticed a huge increase in offsites, townhalls they spend millions on but no decent wage increase/bonuses for the peasants. The offsites are constant now. I’ve never seen this before. All while plotting to cut you job.

Mark R. has to be looking at expenses for Elavon and wondering what Jamie W. has been doing all these years.

The new payments leader will have a lot of fun decisions to make on budgets and personnel after the mess he/she will be walking into.

Elavon has always been known as party city and the last 12 months have been exactly that. Extravagant events filled with employees flying from all over the country and world to drink, eat good food, and celebrate each other while the division continues to fall apart.
GK will soon end this nonsense

I see too much partying and little results to show for. Lavish events, fancy hotels, and little to no return on investment. Shame on senior leaders for allowing this to continue. Jamie W. you created this monster and now you get to walk away and start over… SMH

The way Elavon spends and spends on these extravagant events is mind blowing. It’s like they’re hosting mini- Legends events for a bunch of employees who don’t bring any value to the business. Expense cutting didn’t make its way to the revenue lines or to the events team. Stop spending so much and help us all keep our jobs for a little longer.

The excessive spending from Elavon has always been mind boggling and is completely tone deaf in today's market. But hey, they sure know how to party. I hope someone finally takes notice and cuts their budget.

The Elavon/MPS junkets to the Ritz Carlton resort in Dana Pointe, California and at the Mayflower Hotel, across the street from the White House in Washinton D.C. this month were a study in spending excess and over the top extravagence, with more employees than guests in attendance. For a company and business line shedding partners, vendors, significant customers and millions in future revenue, you wonder why the shareholders audit committee and the institutional shareholders haven't been more concerned about this embarrassing and dysfunctional part of the bank.

Fu-k all their offsites, forced get togethers. I personally don’t Iike to pretend I’m friends with people I work with. It’s just a paycheck and no we’re never going to be friends, Gunjan. Fu-k off if you think I want people from the bank to be my friend.

We can dislike Gunjan (and I do) without being racist.

They are out of touch with reality. Send them on the chopping block.

They have no issues comping Diwali parties at Hopkins Mn, Irving Tx, etc.

Try to get a Christmas party catered and get a resounding NO.

Plus MN employees will see new 0.44% pay deduction for Minnesota Paid Leave in 2026.

Bank chooses to pass on the maximum cost allowed by law to employees. Many great MN employers are covering the employee cost as a gesture of good will and public relations.

The cost to u.s. bank for employee part would be about $2.3 million assuming 7000 employees in MN with mean pay of $75k.

Like other great MN companies, the bank can cover that. I resent being a political proxy.

Bank chooses message of hate (and perhaps even fiscal troubles ) towards employees rather than an inspiring message of “U.S. Bank supports the health of all MN workers by paying 100% of premium….”

$2.3 million sheesh.

Current leadership is sh-t. They make the worst decisions. Spend is the name of the game and make employees miserable is the goal.
