Wireline safe for November 20th? I talked to a leader and they said they think it’ll be more WLS focused.

Some centers of yesteryear will be heavily impacted. WLN will be impacted disproportionately. This is how they plan to pay for Frontier and the new building in NYC, which isn’t needed but you don’t seem them reversing course on that.
Dan is the man,too clean this place up.get you dust pan and get ready to sweep the cr-p out,its been a long time coming
One reason for the RIFs is because of Frontier headcount coming. Frontier is a wireline company.
So why would wireline not be impacted?
I've heard the opposite. Wireline will be hammered. I am in Wireline and my VP is saying 25% headcount cut.
Fios/FWA will be impacted a Director-VP level.
Mature product… need 1/2 line to sell and get Customers to griw.
Above that are power point warriors.
Be assured that will be reduced
Says a wireless person. Every front line wireless up to the actual SVP has a side hustle. That means they could take on more or be eliminated. There is a lot of overlap between wireless and wireline. That gap is likely a big place to cut . Its also confusing to enterprises. There should be one quarterback and test are product specialists.
@a2 what do you mean wireline is in the firing line?
Getting rid of the “geezers” intentionally constitutes age discrimination. What Verizon needs to do is up the lump sum amount. Inflation has gone up since 2020 so increase the amount. If not then after taxes it’s not worth it.
Some of those “geezers” would go if they made them an offer. Maybe on 11/20?
Union aint safe. Cuts coming for them. They are the biggest waste for VZ . Some geezers gotta go
Correction. Union's safe.
Everything is fair game this time around. No one or group is “safe” this time around.
That sounds delusional….wireline is in the firing line…Dan didn’t even mention it!
