What is the plan for indirect? VZ could do like AT&T and T-Mobile and just chop the position completely.

VCG = Client partners
VBG = Sr Act Mgrs
I can see the work load for the VBG side going up for certain retailers. More doors per SAM. VCG has a good ratio atm
@b4 yes we do. We have i2b. Account managers who work with indirect.
Good because the only thing indirect is good at doing is telling customers to go to a corporate location and they will fix it for you.
Tmo is going more digital and corporate owned. ATT is going the opposite. Regardless, it is all in the promotion and plans. VZ needs to stop raising prices and making plans confusing and thinking customers are stupid. The networks are basically the same. What has transparency and value. ATT has Indirect field support but last I heard, they were a third party supporting third party.
@d0 TMO has been closing indirect stores like crazy. They want to go to mostly corporate owned
It's more likely that they will chop direct locations to cut costs. It's been rumored that both TMO and VZ will be moving this direction. It seems online shopping and customer service has reached critical mass.
Vzw tried no Indirect 5 years ago and it did not work . Doubt no Indirect would work now either. Slowly added back employees to manage it. Will more employees be added in 2026 with smaller Vzw happening?
@b4 Yes indirect account mgrs still do exist in VBG
There are "directors" that work with the resellers, but all they can do is tell them what they are and aren't doing good on and if they could pretty please sell the priorities.
We don't have Indirect Acct Managers today. What are you talking about?
